RETAIL TRADING HOURS ACT 1987
RETAIL TRADING HOURS (TEMPORARY MARKETS) EXEMPTION ORDER 1992
Made by the Minister for Consumer Affairs under section 5.
 
Citation
1. This order may be cited as the Retail Trading Hours (Temporary Markets) Exemption 1992
 
Interpretation
2. In this order, unless the contrary intention appears-
"community service organization" means an institution, association, club, society or body, whether incorporated or not, the objects of which are of a charitable , benevolent, religious, cultural, educational or recreational nature and the members of which are not entitled or permitted to receive any pecuniary profit from the transactions of the organization;
"temporary market' means a market conducted by a community service organization.
 
Exemption
3. A person operating a retail shop at a temporary market is exempt from the Retail Trading Hours Act 1987 if-
a) the temporary market is conducted at a time and place approved by the chief executive officer;
b) the retail shop is a stall that is erected at the commencement of, and dismantled at the conclusion of, the temporary market; and
c) only goods specified in the schedule are sold from the retail shop
