Hi Everyone,

Our changeover this year will be "Christmas in July", kindly hosted by Rosinda at her home.

It will be a Sunday lunch with all of us contributing to our Christmas feast.  Can you please let me know what you will be bringing so we have a good mix of food.

It will also be BYO drinks.

Paul Walling will be attending this evening to provide us with information about his passsion - that is to provide eligible Nurses with a medal that gives them a reason to be proud of their career, their passion towards nursing patients back to health and being the backbone to the health system. Currently, the WA Government and Australian Government do not believe Nurses to be worthy of recognition for thier services to community. Paul is a registered nurse who changed professions and now works for the WA Police as a civilian servant. 

He strongly believes that nurses deserve recogntion for their career doing a job that most people won't. 

Paul believes that nurses deserve to be recognised for their commitment and service to their communities. Unlike other public officers, nurses are not granted the recognition for their service.

The purpose of the Medals for Nurses campaign is:

1. To have the State Government of Western Australia recognise the service of nurses to the community by the implementation of a “Western Australia Nursing Service Medal” for Diligent and Ethical Service.
2. To have all the state governments of Australia recognise the service of nurses to their community by the implementation of a “State Nursing Service Medal” for Diligent and Ethical Service.
3. To have the Australia Government “It’s an Honour” recognise the service of nurses to their community by the implementation of a “National Nursing Service Medal” for Diligent and Ethical Service.
